A LITTLE TRAVEL SECRET JUST FOR YOU…
I have some exciting news to share. Traveling to Carmel-by-the-Sea is about to get even easier. Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) just broke ground on a $200M expansion, including a stunning new terminal and more non-stop flights from Dallas, Denver, Seattle, Phoenix, Los Angeles—and soon Chicago. You can even preview the design renderings (here) and a short video of what’s being called “The Metamorphosis” (here).
Many of our guests still enjoy flying into San Jose International, just 1.5 hours away with plenty of direct flight options. But soon, you’ll be able to land at MRY—only a 10-minute drive from your Carmel Retreats cottage. Imagine stepping off the plane and within minutes you’re unpacking and breathing in fresh ocean air.
Whether you come to wander hidden courtyards in town, hike the redwoods of Big Sur, or simply linger over morning coffee on your deck as the sun warms the garden, Carmel is ready to welcome you.

OUR CALENDAR IS FILLING UP FOR 2026 AND 2027
We still have a couple of spots open in 2025, but more importantly our calendar for 2026 is already filling up, and we’re even getting bookings into 2027. Remember - only members of the Inner Circle can book 18 months in advance. Many of our guests return to Carmel Retreats each year and I want to be sure to always have a spot for our regulars.
